Galway Mummers Festival 2012Kilnadeema CCE junior mummers had another
sucessful night at the Galway Mummer Festival held in New Inn. The group
came second after a lively performance. Mark Holohan won the best overall
entertainer and best storyteller. Clara Finnerty won the group award.

Christmas Session 2011 A big turnout for the annual Christmas session which was held in the Village Inn, Kilchreest on Tuesday 27th December. Twenty four musicians and singers took part in what was a great gathering of current and past members including two home from Perth and one from Newcastle England. See photos of the night |

Launch of Branch CD On Sunday 28th of November the branch launched "Ó Ghlúin go Glúin" in front of a packed house. Ninenty-six members took part in the recording along with two special guests, ranging in age from eight to eighty plus. The name reflects the age span on the CD with a lot of children with their parents taking part. CDs are available from any branch officer or in many outlets in Loughrea including News & Choose, McInerneys Supervalu, Scallys Kylebrack, Tom Cussan Clarinbridge. All-Ireland Champion Congratulations to Gerard Forde who won the All-Ireland senior piano competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann in Cavan. This was Gerards first time competing at senior level having won at under age previously. Gerard is also an accomplished box player, next year he might have a go for the B.Acc competition. Well done also to Paul Brady who competed in the All-Ireland 15-18 banjo competition. |
