Galway Fleadh 2010

Kilnadeema branch had a very successful fleadh and were represented by over sixty members at the Galway fleadh which was held in Dunmore. As usual our groups were the main focus of the branch. We had four groups competing with three going forward to the Connacht fleadh in Mohill. The highlight of the day was the 1st place by our U12 grupai cheoil, a first for the branch at this age group. The other groups to qualify were the 12 - 15 grupai cheoil and the 12 - 15 ceili band. Our 15 - 18 grupai cheoil were placed 3rd of six groups and were unlucky not to be recommenced to go to Connacht considering the high standard of competition. We also had quite a few winners in the individual competitions.
