Galway Fleadh 2009

Kilnadeema Comhaltas had once again the largest entry at the Galway Fleadh which took place in Ballinasloe. Sixty-four members represented the branch with all but five making it through to the Connacht Fleadh in Roscommon. As in other years the focus of the branch is on group music with three ceili bands and three grupai cheoil taking part. The groups got two firsts and three seconds to qualify for the Connachts. The branch also got a clean sweep in the mandolin competition with three 1st positions.
