St. Aidan's N.S. Kiltimagh Co. Mayo, Ireland

St. Aidan's N.S. Credit Union
In 1990, Kiltimagh Credit Union set up a Savings Scheme for pupils in St. Aidan's N.S. The great success of this initiative since its inception over the past 12 years has to be appreciated and acknowledged. At the moment, there are 248 pupils in our school who save on a weekly basis. The teachers, in true Credit Union fashion, voluntarily act as tellers each Frida, when savings are taken up. This Savings Scheme instils in children a regular Saving habit, which will benefit them in later life. The Board of Directors and supervisors of Kiltimagh District Credit Union are especially proud of this success story.
