The Photo Album
Prologue
"Bye Mam" shouted Nicola as she entered her Grans cosy kitchen.
Her parents were going away for a romantic weekend and she was staying
in her Gran's thatched farmhouse. It was November so there was a slight
chill in the air and a lot of dark clouds in the sky. As the car pulled
out of the drive-way Gran suggested they go inside. After they tidied
Nicola's clothes into the drawers it was about 4 O' clock so they decided
to play a game of cards. Nicola went to the dresser that her Gran kept
the cards in and looked for them at the back of the drawer.Suddenly she
pulled out a small illuminous book decorated with little pink flowers.
Chapter
1
"Whats this granny?" said Nicola as she pulled out the book that was titled
"It's my life.
"Oh that's just some old photos" said Gran with a bit of enthusiam, "would
you like to look at them?" " Oh I remember that well" laughed Gran as
she pointed to a picture of her communion. "I was walking up the Altar
to say the first Communion and I tripped over the wire from the microphone.
I had a black eye for about a week, but luckily I got loads of ice-cream
after the Communion. "And I couldn't forget this one" laughed Gran. This
one is when I was cycling my new bike and my neighbours dog ran out in
front of me. Of course my sister would have to have my camera handy.
Chapter 2
Nicola turned a few more pages and saw her grannys eyes swell up, she
went to turn the pages, but her Granny stopped her and told her the story.
This was my best friend, Peggy Sullivan, we were playing ball in the garden
and it rolled out on to the road, she ran out to get it and a car hit
her, she was rushed to the hospital, but she died because she was hit
in the temple. With that her Granny burst into tears. After Nicola soothed
her granny she turned another few pages and suddenly she was pulled into
the book….

Chapter 3
"Where the hell am I" shouted Nicola in a shaky voice. But then she remembered…she
was in the town where her Granny grew up. Actually, she was in her granny's
photo, the one where her friend got killed. 'I could stop her' Nicola
thought 'but where is she'. Nicola started walking towards a diner and
asked the owner where she could find Peggy Sullivan. The man behind the
counter said that she and her friend Breda O' Connell were regular customers.
She thanked the man behind the counter and left quickly after that. When
she went out on to the street people started looking at her and then she
remembered that she was not wearing a frock like all the other girls.
She ignored them and started walking towards Peggy's house. She heard
a scream and wondered if she was to late but then she saw a blue and yellow
ball roll out onto the road and a car coming out on to the road. She ran
as fast as she could and tried to stop the car but it was going to fast.
Then she ran over to Peggy and shoved her out of the way. Suddenly she
was beside her Granny, turning the page to the book. She remembered what
she had just been to when she turned the page. She also wondered if Peggy
She decided she would never know …or would she ???
Chapter 4
As she turned the page she heard her Granny starting to laugh and as soon
as she saw the picture she knew Peggy was O.K. She saw her Granny, Peggy
and herself in the picture. This is when this strange girl saved Peggy.
Speaking of Peggy she's coming over tonight for dinner so we better start
making it. And Nicola had a funny feeling that it was going to be alright!!!
