PROLOGUE Hi my name is Ciara Fitzgerald. I am eleven years old. I live in Lakewood Avenue California. I am the smallest in my family. I have two brothers their names are David and Kevin. My parent's names are Elizabeth and John. I have a pet goldfish. His name is Bubbles. I have two best friends Sinéad and Julie. This is a story about a fantasy world that I may have to save. CHAPTER 1 " Miss the answer is 100" I said. Ding Ding Ding went the bell. I thought I was never going to get out of that Maths class. I went into the Cafeteria for lunch and I met my friends Sinéad and Julie in there. They were at a table already. I went up to the cafeteria cook. Her name was Miss. Slop because she gave out revolting cafeteria food. I didn't get much that day because I wasn't that hungry. I went over to my friends and chatted to them about the usual stuff like school, what are we going to do in the weekend? My next class was Science. That was alright because the teacher was going to give us a cool glittery volcano rock for an experiment for the weekend but I wasn't going to do it until Sunday!! Nowhere Land. CHAPTER 2 After school my friends and I went and had an ice-cream at Uncle Joe's ice-cream parlour. We always did this for a treat at the end of the week. He makes some extremely good ice-cream . One day he made a sundae that was so delicious it was the best sundae ever, and it was on the house as well. When I got home I threw my bag on my bed and began looking at the volcano rock. But then mum said "Come down and give me a hand with the dinner". I replied, "I will in a minute". I left the volcano rock under my bed until later. After dinner I did my homework and before I went to sleep I looked under my bed and I saw the volcano rock it was glowing. I was really tired so I went to bed. Chapter 3 During the night I had a dream about a place I had never been before - it was a really cool place it had a load of sweet shops and I saw a river and I saw little elves. The next day I woke up at nine o' clock. I mumbled "I am going to miss the bus". I got ready for school really quick and went downstairs. But nobody was rushing to get to work or to school and then I remembered it was a Saturday. I got ready for school for no reason. I am so stupid!! So I went back up stairs to take off my school clothes. When I went downstairs again my mum said I had to clean my room. I never liked cleaning my room but I didn't really mind it today. After breakfast I went upstairs to tidy my room. It was in such a state. I didn't even want to look in my closet. I then looked out the window it was lashing rain. At about one o' clock I still hadn't much work done. Suddenly the phone rang " Ring." It was for my Mammy. After her conversation was over she came up to me and said "I have to go to the animal clinic it's an emergency. Mrs. Cummins' dog has been rolled over by a car. He just might make it. Dinner is in the microwave and David's football boots are in the garage on the washing machine". I said "Alright mum I'm grand I'll just tidy up my room". I waved my mum good-bye. It was a miserable day. Chapter 4 "Ring Ring Ring". I was wondering who it ` be. I put the receiver to my ear. I said "Hello". "Hello" a girl's voice replied. I said, "Who is this?" Then someone answered in a scary voice " This is………Si……..n……..éad……Sinéad. "Hello Sinéad don't frighten me like that again it's not funny" I ordered. Sinéad replied "O.K. O.K. it was only a joke". I talked to Sinéad for a while about what was going on around the area-a bit of gossip. After about twenty minutes we hung up. I had to do so many jobs I couldn't even think. I went out to get the post. There were three bills, and a letter for me. It was from my Pen Pal in Italy. I wished that I could go over to meet her sometime. "Ring Ring Ring". It's the phone again. "Hello" I mumbled. "Hello it's your mother I have some bad news…the dog died," sobbed Mum. "I'm so sorry" I said shakily. When I got off the phone I was about to cry. My mum must have been devastated because it was very seldom that an animal died in the animal clinic. So to forget about what I just heard I went upstairs to my bedroom and looked for my volcano rock. I couldn't find it anyplace. It must be under my bed I thought. I had just hit my head off the floor. I was in pain. "OW" I groaned. "Yes I found it" I jumped up. It still looked shiny. It was like a night-light. Then my dream that I had last night came back to me. It was so weird. Suddenly the room was spinning around. It was like going back in time. I had just landed on something hard like a rock. "OW" I groaned again. I couldn't move for about an hour. When I got up I looked around it was like my dream that I had last night. There were chocolate houses, sweet houses, and money growing on trees, an alley that leads to a town and in the river there was toys and all kind of weird things. Something tipped me on the back. There it was again and again and again. Then I turned around but no one was there. Then when I turned back around I saw a little elf. CHAPTER 5 "Ah" I screamed. It was a little green thing. It had big ears. A little green suit and pointy slippers. "Hello who are you?" it said in a squeaky voice. "Hi……..My name is Ciara Fitzgerald" I stammered. "What is your name?" I stammered again. "My name is Twinkle. I live in this land called Nowhere Land. It is the coolest place in the world" she said. Then I replied, " I know because I had a dream about it last night". I was getting used to her so I said "Will you show me around the place please". "I surely will" she said happily. She showed me places that I never saw before like Santa's Workshop a River of Wishes. If you wished for something your wish would come true. There were sweets that I never saw before. Then she brought me to the Governor of Nowhere Land. When we got to the palace I couldn't see the building because it was covered with trees bushes flowers and shrubs. But when I went in through the gates it was beautiful. It was like a castle. It had flowers around it. It was gorgeous. We went to the front door. Twinkle rang the doorbell. A ghost came to the door and Twinkle said "May we speak to the Governor?". "I will just tell him now. Would you mind waiting out here please I'll be back in a sec". And he was back in a sec as well. He said "Come right this way". The governor was a dark haired man. He had blue eyes. He was fairly thin and not too tall. He said "Who are you?" I replied "My name is Ciara Fitzgerald. I live in Lakewood Avenue California and I would like to get back there, and who are you?". He said "I am Governor of Nowhere Land my name is Mr. Smile. We might be able to get you home on Ralph Wiggam's aeroplane. It can get you from one place to another place in a minute. I'll just ring him now". I replied "Thank you". He was on the phone for only about a minute but when he got off the phone he said, "He has a few repairs to mend and it will be ready by tomorrow so just have a good time while you're here". Twinkle then dropped me off at the fun park. I hadn't much time to look at everything there was so much. I went to the casino first. I lost a good bit of money then I went on the rollercoaster. Then I went on the ghost train. That was piles of fun I went on that a lot. Chapter 6 That evening I was about to go to Twinkle's house when I heard a scream. It was like someone had been killed I followed the sound. It came from a dark alley. In the alley I met this man he was wearing a black cape on him. Twinkle was on the ground I said "Your name is Mr. Forgetful what are you doing?" He replied" How did you know my name and I have just hurt your poor elf, I am trying to take over Nowhere Land". I said "Your name tag is on your shirt and you are not going to take over Nowhere Land. I am going to tell the Governor what you did to my friend". I ran to a phone box and rang the Governor he said he would come as quickly as he could. When he came he had no evidence of anything not even about Twinkle. So I had to do it myself I had to get the evidence I needed. The next day I borrowed a tape recorder from Twinkle and went off to find Mr. Forgetful again. I went down the dark alley and found him. I said to him kindly "Do you want to have a chat". He said "Alright". I started talking nice at first but then he got a bit suspicious because yesterday I was shouting at him and today I'm really kind. He then soon figured out that I was here to get evidence. Then he said "So if you don't want me to take over Nowhere Land why don't you fence with me". I knew this was my only way to get the Land back so I said "Yes". So we started fencing I never tried it before but I was actually fairly good at it I got the first hit. We stopped for a minute so I ran over to the river and picked out a jar of spells I rubbed it along the foil (that is the sword part). He got up but I hit him with my sword him and he shrivelled up. I showed the tape to the mayor and he believed me and I got a reward of a supply of sweets. Chapter 7 The next day Ralph Wiggam's aeroplane was fixed and he teleported me back to my own world. I was very happy to be back at home and after dinner I went off with my friend's to get an ice-cream Uncle Joe's ice-cream parlourYumee!!! The End.
