Area Qualifiers: As mentioned already, these will now be held on Tuesday 23rd July. They will take place in Castleisland adjacent to Crag Caves. These are the qualifiers for Combined Training and Dressage but there will also be team competitions on the day.

Golden Saddle Award: is a competition for riders between 14 and 18 years old. It is designed to identify talents riders and to encourage them. Cost of entry is €50 and completesd entry forms should be sent in by 29th June. Forms are available from Mary Dowling for interested members.
Foxhunting exchange to U.S. The U.S. Pony club has invitied four Irish members to travel to Virginia nad North Carolina for a 10 day foxhunting holiday in October 2002. Members must be at least 16 years old, hold their C+, aand have solid hunting experience. Cost €1200-1500. Anyone interested should contact Mary Dowling IMMEDIATELY.
Hunter Trials/Event: Congratulations to the pair of Siobhan Collins and Nicola O'Mahony who won the pony training pairs competition in Templemartin Hunter Trials. They will be sporting lovely new numnahs in future!
Euro Pony Camp: Siobhan Collins will represent the Kingdom Branch at the Euro Pony Camp in England in mid-July. She is one of three Irish members who are attending the camp and has a busy riding schedule for the week. We wish her 'Bon Voyage' and hope she has a great time. Gymkhana Monday 3rd June saw 33 members participate in the gymkhana at Woodlands Equestrian Centre. New members and D testers took part in the first competition which produced 4 double clear rounds. The novelty pair jumping was won by Sharon O'Mahony and Sarah Collins on Denis the Menace and Slim Flight respectively. There were very high standards in the D+ and C competitions. Eight competitors went into the jump-off in both groups. Louise Moynihan on the Kerryman took the honours in the D+ competition while Lydia McElligott on Lotto won the C. There was a very exciting Masters competition for the C group which was won by Kelly-Ann McSweeney. Susan Arthurs took the honours in the C+/B competition in both the jumping and the novelty. In the outside arena, a large number of members of all standards took part in some great games training and enjoyed a few exciting races. We hope to see some of these members in Kilmoyley on Friday nights!!
