AIMS
This degree programme aims to produce high calibre professionals with both business analysis and applied computing skills which are needed in enterprises today. The programme was developed following extensive consultation with industry, and addresses the nedd for business and technical skills in a sector which is the fastest growing worldwide.

Skills are learned in such diverse areas as, Visual Basic, Java and C++ programming, Internet and Web development, Microsoft Access and FoxPro, COBOL and RPG programming, Systems Analysis and Design with CASE tools, and general business skills in Accounting, Economics and Marketing.

Employers of our graduates are amongst the most prestigious in the country. For example, each of the major banks and semi-state bodies have several hundred people employed in this area. Unemployment rates are very low indeed. Other factors worth noting include the following:
- There is a coninuous demand for skilled people; in the past decade the number of people employed in this area in Ireland has grown by 20% per annum.
- There is genuinly equal opportunity in the field, and promotion is based purely on ability.
