On
Friday, 5th. December 2003, we finally applied for our Green Flag.
Here in Kill, we have been environmentally aware for many years - starting with a Sixth Class project on the environment. Since then we have been involved in the recycling of cans, paper, ink jet cartridges, CDs, batteries, and now that our new school is complete, we look forward to having composting, vermicomposting (composting using worms) and leaf recycling facilities in our new garden.
A Green Committee has been set up comprising of children from Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Class pupils, . We will be meeting regularly over the coming months to monitor our school's progress. The picture shows our present committee. We are busily working towards retaining our Green Flag as we consider ways in which water can be conserved.
These pages will be updated regularly and should keep you in touch with the above. Click on any of the links to the left and find out more.
