KPMG FC 2 - 0 O' Flynn's Flooring

This game was a highly charged match with plenty of tomfoolery and profound language especially from the one they call "HORSE". Even with all his backchat during the game it must be said that his work rate was that of a “horse”. His tracking back and attacking aggression would have impressed even the great Roy Keane.

The first incident of the game about 10-15 minutes in the first half when KPMG's left back "Skinny" pulled a muscle in his groin area but braved on for a few minutes (try lacing his boots) until the pain was too much to bear. On came "Bergkamp" to put in a fine performance.

The back four have to be given a big WELL DONE WELL DONE for their efforts that as in every game were second to none. The first goal of the game was one more typically associated with that of Selhurst Park. A rocket launcher of a goal kick from "Barthez" was taken down expertly by Mark "Hega " Hegarty who played a sublime ball to the feet of Malley-Sutton who with his killer instincts, which were lacking in recent weeks due to confidence, fired an unstoppable shot past the stranded Flynns keeper.

The half time team talk was unfamiliar to the KPMG squad as this had been the first time in as many games that they were leading at half time.

The second half started the same as the first half with both teams playing at a fast pace and attacking their opponents’ goal with every possible opportunity. O' Flynn's started the brighter and had the first chance on goal in the 2nd half. The ball was played cross field at the edge of KPMG's box and was beautifully controlled by their forward. He volleyed a thunderous shot, which was left by "Barthez" who knows his area well, the ball flew off the top of the cross-bar and over for a goal kick.

The language in this game was worse than any Eminem record that the referee duly took on board when he awarded a free kick inside the KPMG box for the foul tongues of the KPMG defence and midfield. This had to be retaken because of "Horses" refusal to take the refs advice to shut up.

In truth the ref gave KPMG nothing during the game. The whole team must of felt they got their justice when the best shot of the game was blasted from Vincent Harrington directly into the referees face. In must be said a slight smile appeared on Barthez's face.

The second goal was on that could appear on any football comedy video. The ball was played through the heart of the Flynn's defence and the defender did his best to clear the ball only to see it come back off the outstretched leg of "Briano". The ball flew up and over the bewildered keeper and into the back of the net. There was a lot of laughter within the celebration of the goal.

With minutes to go the Flynn's forward started to try their luck and took shots from all angles only to find "Barthez" in sparkling form. With a shot heading for the bottom left corner (and not wide as Niall Barrett suggested afterwards) Barthez pulled off a miraculous save to have another clean sheet in his many games.

A great game for the neutral, although if you didn't follow either teams you wouldn't have bothered to show up.
