KPMG FC 2 – 2 Raging Bulls

This was definitely a game of two parts. The first 55 minutes and the last 5.

Raging Bulls had most of the possession in the game and this showed by the amount of chances they created in the first half. The KPMG midfield were in La-La land for most of the game and certainly didn’t play anywhere near their potential. This let the Bulls play aggressive football.

The first goal of the game came from a defensive lapse in concentration and the Bulls forward, sporting an Inter shirt, beat the offside trap laid down by KPMG to creep in to the back post. As Gregson scrambled to make up ground the Bulls forward was able to get the slightest of touches to the ball to steer it past the KPMG keeper.

KPMG didn’t have any real clear-cut chances in the first half and by this performance deserved to trail 1-0 at half time.

The second half started pretty much as the first had finished with Raging Bulls dominating the possession in the middle of the park. Once again the defensive offside trap failed and the Bulls winger was able to get a cross into the KPMG goalmouth area. A wondering Declan Hegarty left the Bulls “Ronaldo” free in the centre of the box. As the out swinging cross came in, the giant forward towered above the rest to place a header past the KPMG keeper who really had no chance.

Gregsons kick-outs were deeply criticised in the first half and most of the second but it was his poor kicking that left Hega to cushion a header to Vince who was able to generate a pass, splitting the Bulls defence, into the path of Briano. He then played a cross-field ball passed the outreached Bulls keeper and left Thomas the easiest of finishes.

The spirit of the KPMG side was boosted by that goal and they felt that there was another one in the bag and they were right.  The goal game from a brilliant run down the line by Vince who unbelievably, by amateurs standard, was able to whip in a cross. On the end of the cross was the chest of Brendan Hegarty who flicked it past the wandering Bulls keeper.

Earlier in the season the Bulls game from 1-0 down to beat KPMG 2-1 so I feel as though they got their revenge. Not a spectacular game of football but won enjoyed by the crowd.
