Soccer samba road show

On the 2nd of March, two Brazilian footballers came to the school. Their names were Cassiano and Alejandro. They showed us some tricks and they were brilliant. Some people were asked to do the tricks. They gave two soccer jerseys and two pairs of shorts to the school. The school decided to have a competition to see who would win the prizes. You had to write an essay saying why you deserved to win the jersey and shorts. There were two winners - one in 6th class and one in 2nd class. I won in 6th class and you can read my eassy below...

I think Ishould be awarded with the football gear because I have being playing soccer since I was five years old and I've been on a local team since then. The team is called Freebooters. I live, breathe, and eat football. I love playing soccer and watching it and anything got to do with it. My Aunt brought me over to the Man Utd. football ground. I got a tour around the stadium and their trophy room is amazing. Pele is my hero. He played for Brazil. He started off playing soccer on the streets of Brazil and his natural talent shone through. I love the Brazilian style of football- it's flair and it's so good to watch. Their skill and creativity is amazing, the fluency of it is what football is all about. My dream come true would be to be coached by these brilliant coaches and I would treasure it for the rest of my life. I know that I haven't been the brightest or one of the most well behaved students in the K.S.P but I would really like to win this prize.

Thank you from Kevin 6th class
