King fisher

A kingfisher is known for its excellent sight. A kingfisher can get up on a branch and dive into the water, catch a fish, bring it back up and eat it. Only a quarter of the kingfishers die by fighting over territory and drowning .

Brilliant blue kingfishers plunge into rivers to catch minnows that are half the length of its body. With its wings folded and it eyes and nostrils tighty shut the kingfisher flies into the water. It has to struggle to free itself from the pull of the water but it soon succeeds and flies away with its fish.
