McHale’s man is honoured (July-96)

Feile Peil na nOg was a tremendous success in the county for the second year running. This achievement was in no small way attributed to the trojan work of Feile Peil na nOg secretary, Mr. Kevin Rowland, Massbrook.

Kevin was honoured at a special Feile dinner in the Downhill Hotel, with a piece of Waterford crystal presented by Mr. Sean O Laoire, Games Manager, Croke Park. He thanked Kevin for his hard work, dedication and commitment. Also present at the dinner was Mr. Jack Boothman, President of the G.A.A.

At a civic reception in Ballina Stephenites, Mr. Pat Diamond, Chairman of Ballina U.D.C., paid glowing tributes to Kevin and the Feile committee for their great achievement.

Kevin received a further presentation from Miss Helen O’Rourke, President Cumann Peile Gael na mBan. Lahardane McHales are proud to have one of its active members honoured at national level.
