Lahardane’s Under-16’s progressed to the forthcoming league final after their win over South Mayo team, Kilmaine, at Breaffy. It looked unlikely after Kilmaine broke through for a move, which resulted in a goal.

The North Mayo side led at half time by 1-5 to 1-3 with their goal coming from Seamus Coleman. With three quarters of the game gone, Lahardane’s midfield duo finally broke free of Kilmaine’s impressive pairing. With Kenny Burke getting two goals and Brian Rowland getting another it effectively killed the game off.
