League Division 2 (Saturday 15-May-99) Lahardane.......5-10 Ballinrobe were shocked by pointless Lahardane at Glenhest on Saturday evening. Despite the concession of a Cormac Rowland goal in the fourth minute, following a centre from the left wing by James Gillespie, Ballinrobe, thanks in the main to the scoring exploits of full-forward Michael Keane, recovered and led by 1-5 to 1-2 at half time. The visitors, boosted by a brilliant goal from Michael Keane were still ahead in the 38th minute - 2-7 to 1-6 - but that situation did not obtain for long. James Gillespie, ably abetted by John Rowland, gained emphatic control and the lively home attack spread-eagled the ponderous Ballinrobe backline. Goals materialised from Cormac Rowland (penalty), Tom Cawley and menacing full-forward Declan Leonard. Even when Ballinrobe countered with a punched goal by Keith McTigue, Lahardane surged upfield for another goal by Cormac Rowland, his third of the contest. Lahardane: E. Coyne, R. McDermott, D. Kelly, P. Leonard, M. Marley, A. McDermott, J.J. Leonard, J. Gillespie, J. Rowland (0-1); G. McGreevey (0-1); S. Blake, N. Garrett, C. Rowland (3-3); D. Leonard (1-3); T. Cawley (1-2). Ref.: M.
