Okay we know it's been a while since we've been in Lahardane but ye
weren't long catching up with modern technology. Pity ye wouldn't catch
up with Crossmolina's standard of football-heard about last Sunday
weeks match-was told it was painful to watch. It's obvious that the
pints in Lahardane are not as good as the ones in Crossmolina. We have
had a few Lahardane "men" availing of our B-&-B service here in good old
Sligo but don't worry Ray.D we put them through some vigerous training
sessions!!!!!!! Ye "men" know who ye are.

P.S Shane how are those chicken orgies going? By the way Damian i hear
Shane taught you everything you know (but we think Lawerence Leonard
would probably have been a better tutor)!!!!!!!!

Just a quick hello to all those who visit this site. I just wanted to
say well done to the Lahardane intermediates on their progress in the
league, hopefully we'll see you take your rightful place in the seniors
competition next year.

I just wanted to let you know that as William has been in the states
and will be too tired on his return to be in the pub tonight, the
drinks are all free...... (only kiddin...William).

Now that Galway are having a few personality clashes many of the locals
reckon that Mayo will win the Connaght Championship this year... Not
mentioning anyone in particular Frankie!!!! but being from Galway I
have to say THE DONNELLAN BROTHERS will be back and ready for Ros. and
hopefully the final with SLIGO!!!!!!!

Tom Gibbons   21/May/2001:00:07:08
Currently in Denver, CO, I usually visit the “Western” website every
week to find out the latest news from home. When I was informed that
Lahardane McHales had created their own website, I immediately checked
it out.
I am very impressed with its format and my congratulations go to all
those who instigated and set it up. Its clarity and ease of use should
be a model for all.
I find the match reports excellent and more professionally written than
many I have read. It is very heartening to see the club doing so well,
at all levels. To all of those involved, both players and club members,
I say “Well Done”. Arise, Lahardane, and take your place amongst the
nations of the Earth.
The Guest Book is a brilliant idea. I hope it will, in some way, become
a focus point for all the people of the parish, and beyond, wherever
they may be. To see some familiar names brings back lots of pleasant
memories of friends and times past.
Finally, may the club draw exceed your wildest expectations. From

Josephine Gillespie   04/May/2001:12:11:30
Well done Lahardane on a great web-site - and a good football team of
course.
Have been following Lahardane for a few years - from National School
when we made flags and learned songs to sing at the matches - don't
know if we were ever heard! Last match I was at was the nail-biting
one in Kilmain in Sept. Good result but heart-stopping stuff.
My cousin from Crossmolina was staying with me last week, and had a few
anxious hours waiting by the phone in the early hours of Tuesday
waiting to hear Crossmolina's fate.
Look after my baby brother - he's the shy and timid one on the pitch.
Watch out for my dad and sister at the matches - if they can't be seen
they will at least be heard!!
Good luck in the coming Season Lahardane.

Brillant web site, well done to all involved. I have one request though
could you write up on matches prior to 1995 as im sure that players of
that time would love to read about the games that they played in. keep
up the good work.
Best wishes, James Rowan.

need another little break to recover!
