Our Sciath na
Scol journey began against Farran N.S. on the 26th of September and our
starting line up was Patrick O Brien in goals, Colm Hourihane at full
back, Peter Lordan at wing back and Darragh Hayes as the other.Our centre
back was Ronan Sheehan with Barry Collins and Kerry Desmond in the midfield
.
Our attacking line was William O Donovan at centre forward Luke Meade
at corner forward and Peter Madden as the other. Our full forward was
Christian Mulcahy.On the sub bench was Eoin Hurley, Ronan Hayes, Fionn
O Reilly, Stephen Burchill, Ronan Kelly, Jack O Toole, Tom France, Joe
Harrington, Sam O Dwyer, Conall Mc Carthy, Lorcan O Donnell, Anthony Moynihan,
Gearoid Collins, Jonathan Mulcahy, Jack O Leary, Stephen Smith, Keith
Burchill, P.J. O Reagan and Tony Ellis.We had a nice win with Christian
Mulcahy and Barry Collins doing a lot of the scoring.
Our second match was against Gael Scoil Droichead na Banndan.We got another
nice win but it was a tough match. We had the same line up except Kerry
Desmond switched positions with Ronan Sheehan.It was a good high scoring
match.
Our third match was against Dunderrow N.S.. We had one change in our line
up with Lorcan O Donnell coming in for Peter Lordan at wing back. Once
again we won with some very nice scores from the forwards and the midfielders
in another high scoring match.
Our last match was against Coachford with Peter Lordan coming back into
wingback. This was probably our hardest match with Coachford proving to
be a very good and tough opposition. We managed to get the win in this
very high-class match..

The Final
Laragh 10-5
Ballingeary1-1
Laragh have played
outstandingly against Ballingeary in Pairc Ui Choaimh. The game got off
to an explosive start with quick goals from Ronan Sheehan and Barry Collins.
Ballingeary cleared their lines and a long shot from midfield hit the
crossbar and landed to the full forward of Ballingeary who punched it
into the net despite the efforts of Patrick O' Brien and Colm Hourihane.
Laragh attacked again with centre back Kerry Desmond scoring a goal, which
was followed, by many other scores.
The half time score Laragh 6-3 Ballingeary 1-0. Ballingeary came out determined
in the second half. They started the half with with the first score, a
point. But Laragh quickly replied with many scores. Luke Meade, in particular,was
a thorn in the side of Ballingeary. After a while Mr. Lordan started making
changes and the replacements did very well. Jonathan Mulcahy finished
Laragh's scoring when after a long run he buried the ball in the back
of Ballingeary's net. The final score was: Laragh 10-5 Ballingeary 1-1.
