EARLY MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION IN THE LINDLEY AREA.
Registration of motor vehicles was first required under the Motor Car Act of 1903. The records of registration for the Huddersfield area are held by West Yorkshire Archives, Wakefield, under reference C192.
In the following table are registrations of vehicles to owners in the Lindley area in the early years of motoring, showing year of registration, registration number, make of vehicle and owner's name and address.
