the 2000 Keadue Song Contest

1. The music and lyrics must be the original work of the composer. 2. The contest is open to the following types of song ; Ballad, Country, Folk 3. Entries must not have been commercially recorded and must not have won a premier award in any other song contest prior to October 28th 2001 4. Composers may enter as many songs as they wish. Entry fee per song is £12. (Twelve Pounds) 5. All entries must be submitted on cassette tape and be accompanied by one copy of the lyrics. (One entry per cassette) 6. The committee regrets that all tapes submitted are non returnable. 7. Finalists will be notified by 1st October 2001. 8. The provisional adjudication will be on the basis of the tapes submitted. 9. Entries MUST be accompanied by a fully completed official Entry Form, Complete with entry fee by Cheque, Bankers Draft or Postal Order-NO CASH PLEASE- Payable to. "Keadue Song Contest Committee" A photocopy of the official entry form will be acceptable. All tapes received will be acknowledged. |
10. The song contest committee will appoint a time for rehearsals for the shortlisted finalists at which the performers MUST attend. 11. All contestants must provide either their own accompanyment, group or backing tape on the Final Night when the songs will be publicly performed to an audience. 12. An entrants own vocal group will be allowed where participants number three or less. 13. Composers will be responsible for providing a singer to perform their entry, if selected, on Final Night at their own expense. 14. The prize winning songs on final night will not be selected until after their public performance. The adjudicators decision will be final and binding. No subsequent correspondence will be entered into. 15. Entry of the competition implies acceptance of all the rules. 16. Entries must be received before Friday 14th September 2001. 17.
