Kilanerin Ballyfad GAA Club hosted the Under 14 hurling team from the Wolfe Tones Club from Longford as part of the Feile na nGael tournament which was held in Wexford on June 25-27.
It was the first time since 1985 that the Feile was held in Wexford when Ballyfad hosted Ardee from Louth.
The Committee was extremely grateful to everyone who worked so hard to make the weekend such a success - and especially to all of the members and families who accommodated the visitors, to the small army that fed hundreds on Friday's disco, and to everyone who behaved in such a sociable and friendly way towards their visitors.
On the hurling front, the U-14's did quite well, but finished third in thier group after winning one of their three games on Saturday. In the end, a very strong Askamore team ran away with the group, but they didn't reach the final of the division which was eventually won by Adamstown.
