LINDA'S CABLE- LOVER CUSHION

Materials:  400gms aran-weight yarn (650 yds)
                       - Use machine-washable wool for easy care.
                 US7 /4.5mm needles
                 Cable needle
                 14" or 16" zipper
                 18" square cushion form
                 matching thread to sew zipper

Gauge:   approx. 20 sts. and 25 rows per 4 inches in stockinette stitch. 
             One 16-row cable pattern repeat = 2.5 inches long.
   
 

METHOD:

The cushion cover is knit in one piece, then folded, giving cables on both sides.
The finished size is approx. 18" X 36" (after blocking) to fit an 18" square cushion.
The sides are seamed and a zipper is sewn into the bottom edge.   
A 5-stitch i-cord is sewn around the edges, if desired.
