Charles lived in Havana (Montour Falls) and farmed, sharing land withhis brother John C. Stone. He and John lived next door to each other(from census info).
Along with his parents, he was a member of the Montour Falls MethodistChurch on Owego St. until he removed his membership on May 2, 1867. Itappears he became a member of St. Paul's Episcopal church after that.Charles had married his wife Rebecca Stuart by the Montour census of1865, and both were living in Garry Stone's household at that time.In 1880, he had a farm hand in his household: Herbert RUSSELL, age 19,single, b. NY.
