Her daughter Maria Meeks married a Tichenor in Hector, NY; they had abible entry showing that Sarah had siblings named Nicholson.--Sarahwas probably a Nicholson who 1st married a Horton and was widowed andmarried Meeks. It has been confirmed that Joshua Nicholson was abrother of Sarah and that Joshua had a sister Sarah who died at age93. This matches the Tichenor bible info. One of Sarah's sisters wasAnn [Nicholson] Broas (married name). Nicholsons were found in Putnamco., NY in the mid-1700s. Joshua Nicholson moved to Tompkins co. in1824.
Sarah Nicholson might be the second wife of Edward Meeks. TheMichigan GENDIS records give "Mariah" as the mother of our DanielMeeks.
"Sally MIX" age 75 was living in Howard, Steuben co., NY on 1850census, in the household of Joseph E. MIX, believed to be her grandsonthru Moses MEEKS. Joseph lived next door to "Collins MIX" (CoanCollins) his brother. Sally /Sarah was the widow of Edward, who diedin early 1850. Mary Jackson's research confirms that Edward sold thefarm to Joseph before he died and Sarah was still living there.
[1065] Aged 93 at death. Her gravestone says "Sarah HORTON, wife of EdwardMEEKS"
