Samuel's parents and a few siblings are buried in Oshawa UnionCemetery, Oshawa, Ontario. Samuel IV had an apparent sister AlineMaud Barker Johnson who died abt. 1888/9 at the age of 23. It wouldseem he named his eldest daughter after her.

[116] The Mormon LDS files give his birthyear as 1868, but his death cert.would indicate he died at age 60, making his birthyear 1869. He wasage 12 on 1881 census.
[117] Death occured at 200 Carlton St., where he had lived 20 years. Hisage was given as 60yrs-7days. Death cert. also gives his occupationas barber and verifies his parents' names and birth date. Informantwas Aileen (Barker) Duckworth, his daughter. Samuel's wife also movedin with their daughter V. Helen in 1930.
[118] He was age 7 when he came to Ontario, according to his death cert. Arecord on ancestry.com shows a Samuel Barker of his age who emigratedin 1874.
