Source of Moses' children was the journal of Rev. Silas Constant ofYorktown, Putnam co., NY Presbyterian church. This Moses may havesettled in Hector, Tompkins co. in the 1820s. He may have been theMoses that lived in Enfield, Tompkins co., NY about 1830 and inIthaca, NY about 1850. (From census data.)
If this Moses Meeks is the same one that moved to Hector, NY, then heapparently was widowed and remarried a woman named Phebe, according toa land sale deed naming Moses and Phebe Meeks. (unless it refers tohis daughter Phebe)
