[25] Coral was co-owner of the Meeks Brothers Flouring & Grist Mill withhis brother Chauncey N. Meeks, after they purchased the DeckertownMill in 1885 --formerly owned by E. A. Dunham & co. (Montour Falls,NY). It burned down in 1887 and was re-built as the Phoenix RollerMill, completed in 1888. It was a prosperous mill, the only one intown c.1890s, but apparently burned down again between 1894 & 1900.About 1900 and later he worked at the Shepard Niles company in MontourFalls as a machinist. His first wife Nellie Stone died in 1907 and hemarried Eleanor (Ella) Platt, 1861-1942. He lived at 245 Owego Streetin Montour Falls, NY, where he died after a 9-month illness in 1926.He was sometimes called "Coe". Possibly his middle name was "Smith"after his mother's maiden name. He belonged to the I.O.O.F. (OddFellows Lodge) #38 Thayandanegea Encampment of Havana, org. Aug. 19,1869 - was an officer (S.W. & H.L.). He also was a town trustee andcollector, and a member of the Knights of Pythias. (From his obit.)

Alden performed the ceremony; witnesses were Edith M.Shulman and E. A. Shulman; verifies the parents of Eleanor (GilesPlatt and Mary Couch Platt).
