Listowel Banner of Nov. 7,1895 said, "We are sorry to report the death of an old and muchrespected pioneer friend, Mrs. Wm. Ferguson, who died on Thurs., 31stult. The remains were interred in Fairview Cem. on Sat. last,followed by a large number of friends and neighbours who deeply mournthe loss of their departed friend. Mrs. Brady of Thedford [sister],who came to attend the funeral of Mrs. Wm. Ferguson, is spending a fewdays with friends in this vicinity." died aged 66yrs, 11mo., 26 days.
