In 1870, he was living in Noble, Richland co.,IL with his grandfather Uriah STEVENS. Louis' aunt Melissia marriedin 1872 and went to live in NY; Louis appears to have gone with them.In 1880, when he was 17, he was living as a boarder with John Zurbrickand family; John was the brother of Louis' step-father Henry andJohn's wife Melissa was Louis' aunt.

The 1850 census wastaken in late Oct. 1850. Zerviah was supposed to have died on March12,1850. (Or did 3-12-1850 indicate death date of Dec. 3rd?)
