School History;
Lisheenkyle National School was first opened in 1971.
It started as a one –teacher school and the first teacher was Mrs. Connolly.
Gradually as the area flourished the numbers increased and it became a two – teacher establishment. Our new extension was opened in 1991. Presently the school has three teachers, and due to the ever- increasing population there will no doubt be a rapid increase in numbers. Hence a further extension is being considered at the moment.
Mission Statement:
The mission statement of this school is to enable each child to develop to his or her full potential in an environment where there would be peace, harmony and mutual respect.
