Constitution of TAI (Transactional Analysis in Ireland)
ratified at AGM July 7, 2001
Objectives
To encourage the use of Transactional Analysis in Ireland
To learn TA techniques by discussion and seminars
To develop the theory by putting the techniques into practice
To share the experience with the group and promote discussion
Activities
Group meetings and workshops
Provision of a relevant web-page
Use of TA external speakers
Regional Branches
Within this framework, regional branches may make whatever working arrangements
are necessary for carrying out their business
Finances
An annual donation/subscription validates membership. This subscription will
will be decided at each AGM - minimum one Euro for those who are unwaged.
Where funds allow, bursaries will be made available
Financial Year ends on May 31
Monthly News-Notes are sent by e-mail. We can sent them by post if you send
us €10 annually to cover costs involved.
Administration
Administration is conducted by
A Financial Controller
An Administrator
An Auditor
A Web-Master
A News-Notes Editor
One person may hold more than one position
These positions will be reviewed periodically.
Annual General Meeting
Twenty-one days notice of AGM will be given to members
AGM to be held once a year within six months following the end of the Financial
Year
Decision-making by Consensus may be discussed and agreed at the start of each
AGM. Only paid up members can vote at AGM.
Three paid up members in attendance are sufficient to hold an AGM and to vote.
Dissolution
An Extraordinary General Meeting can decide to dissolve the organization provided
that all paid-up members have be notified 4 weeks in advance of the Extraordinary
General Meeting, and its purpose
An Extraordinary General Meeting can be held at the same time as a regular AGM.
The same voting rules apply as for an AGM
Any remaining funds shall be distributed as decided by the EGM
It is the responsibility of the Financial Controller to carry out the wishes of
the EGM in respect of dissolution.
