ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
The Chamber aims to maintain a close relationship
with agencies - Forbairt and ECOM with a view to:
* Encouraging new businesses for Letterkenny
* Promoting cross-border economic development
* Promoting Letterkenny as an 'electronic town'
A Business Opportunities Database was launched earlier
this year in the Chamber office and will provide an ideal location for
buyers and suppliers in the Donegal area to access information on their
relevant markets. This project is intended as the first in a series of
computer link-ups which will eventually see the creation of a computerised
network of business opportunites encompassing the entire Northwest.
This innovative, user-friendly database currently
details information on the purchasing requirements of many major manufacturers
in the Northwest while simultaneously listing the capacity of the smaller/supplier
type companies to match these needs.
