What is the Millennium Wall?

The Millennium Wall is a wall built with cardboard 'bricks' with each brick representing a Past Pupil of the school. All past pupils are invited to be a 'brick' in the wall. We will send you a form on which you can fill in your details and include a brief description of what you have been doing since leaving the college. We will enter your details by computer on to your 'brick'. The 'bricks' will be assembled to form the Millennium Wall, which will be unveiled in the school on Friday 10th March 2000.

Why are we building the Millennium Wall?

As a tribute to our past pupils as we celebrate the new Millennium and the 70th anniversary of the foundation of our school, the Fifth Year Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme students of Loreto College Crumlin Road are building the Millennium Wall. The wall will symbolise the contribution of former students in building the school into the establishment it is today. The LCVP class are building the wall and arranging a Reunion Day for past pupils as the enterprise activity for their course work.

How do I become a 'brick in the wall'?

Either contact the school directly and leave your name and address. We will get back to you as soon as possible. Alternatively, you can send us your details by e-mail at lorcrumwall@ireland.com

When is the Reunion Day?

On Sunday 12th March 2000 (2.30pm -5.30pm), all past pupils of the school are invited to drop in to the school to see the Millennium Wall and meet up with former teachers and schoolmates over a cup of coffee.

What is the 5th Year LCVP Class?

A group of 22 fifth year students are following the Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme. They are the fourth group of students in the school to take this programme. The LCVP is an enhanced Leaving Certificate programme, which offers the students the opportunity to study enterprise education and preparation for the world of work along with some work experience or work shadowing. They study these Link Modules in addition to their seven Leaving Certificate subjects. Further details of the programme may be found at the LCVP site.
