Transition Year

All Transition Year Students continue the usual Academic Subjects.

In addition, the students:

Undertake Projects
Run a 'Young Enterprise'
Mini Company
Engage in Work Experience
Organise an Arts Week
Participate in a wide ranging Sports Programme
Experience Social Work Activities
Acquire Computer Skills

During this year the girls are offered various extra curricular outings e.g.

A European School Tour
An exchange with a European Country
An Outdoor Pursuits Programme at a recognised centre.

Transition Year is available to all students and bridges the gap between Junior and Senior Cycle.

It helps the girls to make the transition from a highly structured environment to one where they will take greater responsibility for their own learning and decision making.
