BOOK  REVIEW:

         Under the Hawthorn Tree by Marita Conlon Mc Kenna


This book is great for anyone who is interested in the famine of Ireland.

Peggy, Michael and Eileen are children left to look after themselves when there parent's disappear. It is a tale about hardship during the famine, losing family to death and starting afresh.

Marita Conlon Mc Kenna visited our school to talk to us about her books. She has many best selling books  but this one is our favourite!
