Spring Festivals.

The months   of  Spring are   February, March , April .  There  are  28  days  in  February.  31 days in March and 30 days in April.  

February  the 1st  is  the  First  day  of  Spring .It  is  also  St. Brigid' s Day.  St.  Brigid   was    a   woman  from   Kildare   who  set   up  a    convent   and   built    a   church   on   the  curragh. 

Another  important  day  in Spring is   the  17th of  March. This  is   St.  Patrick's  Day.  St  Patrick  was born  in  Wales  but   he was captured by  Niall of  the  Nine  Hostages  and  was  brought to Ireland. He  had    to    mind  sheep  and pigs   on   Sliabh  Mish. He  taught  the  Irish  people  about  God  using  a   shamrock.  Every year  we  have  a   parade   to celebrate   St.Patrick's   Day. He  is  the  patron   Saint    of     Ireland.  

The  most   important   feast   of    Spring is   Easter. This  year  Easter  is  on  the  15th   of   April.  This  is   an    important   feast    because   Jesus  rose from  the dead. 

Spring is important because new things and  animals  are  born.
