Limerick Sub-Aqua club held two open nights.  They took place in the University of Limerick sports arena (National 50m pool) on Tuesday 28^th of October and Tuesday 4^th of November at 8pm.   

  Entry Requirements for becoming a Trainee for year 2003-2004

Be at least 18 years of age

In the swimming pool complete the following:

        a)  Swim 200 meters free style

        b)  Swim 50 metres backstroke

        c) With head submerged in the water, hold breath  

             for 30 seconds within 5 minutes of (a) and (b) above

Training has already commenced, see lecture schedule.

Training consists of a series of lectures and pool and open water snorkel and scuba training. 

Pool training takes place on Tuesday nights at the University of Limerick sports arena (National 50m pool) from 7.45pm-10.00 pm.  The first hour consists of a lecture and the second hour is spent in the pool.  This training starts mid-November and continues until mid-March.

Open water snorkels will commence in February and Open water scuba activities then begins mid March.  

Training will only commence on completion of the required Diving Medical.
