Crocnaraw is an Irish Georgian Country House presently being run as an Inn on the shores of Ballinakill Bay,six miles from Clifden-capital of Connemara-on the scenic Clifden-Westport road.Set in 20 acres of gardens ,trees and fields,Crocnaraw is the winner of the National Guesthouse Gardens Competition for 4 years.

Weddings and similar Functions

Lucy and her mother,Joanne Fretwell, in earlier times have entertained the public and hosted weddings in Connemara at Cnocnaraw from the early Sixties until this day.Although it would not be so large yet it is a much-loved location for just-weds to host their Receptions (and other gatherings)Perhaps this is because Cnocnaraw has a particular Character that many people take to or is it its size ( very large but essentially a private House with large Gardens and a surrounding wood,hills and fields) which allows one to feel quite at home.70 would be about the largest number of Guests that would be comfortably accommodated on such occasions
