    Lumcloon N.S.

    Hello all in Gamla Pavelundsskolan.
It's hard to describe how much we enjoy being your keypals. It is amazing. It's more fun than looking in a textbook which would be boring. Ireland must seem very warm to you. Some of you have snowboards - that would be a waste of time for us, as we don't get much snow Well, not very often, anyway! We learnt a lot of things from you. We love hearing about smogsoboards, and bambas and brown Santas and lots of other stuff. You must think our little country is absolutely tiny compared to Sweden. It's funny because life in Sweden is way different from our life in lots of ways, like the way you celebrate Christmas or the way you get to eat a hot meal in school. Things are quiet here in Lumcloon, it must be far noisier in Gothenburg. We see trees and empty roads and fields, whereas you must see buses and cars and buildings. But, we don't think we'd like sill and herring to eat - turkey is our food and we're happy with that!
It's fun writing to you on the computer and its interesting finding out fun information about Sweden. It's amazing what you can do with a computer, like we are about 10,000 miles away from you but it seems like we're right beside you, because our letters only take a few seconds to get to you. Last year we had key-pals in America. They were called Jimmy, Kristina, Johnny and Carrie, and we loved finding out about Michigan from them too, but it is a lot different from Goteborg.
It was great craic (An Irish word for fun) waiting every morning to check if you wrote.

What we learnt from you. We know that you work a lot with your computers. We know that you live in the country side. We know about the bog and howe you use the peat for the powerstation. We read in a book about the green Island and that theres a lot of bogs around in Ireland. It was fun hearing you sing and talk. We really think we know you althuogh you lives so far away, it would be fun seeing you live. We hope you continue sending us letters and mails. We loved your song Silent night and we know that Irish sound different from english. Sometimes we say "slan" when we say goodbye to each others. It dosent matter if you not drive Volvos, we understand that you need the car when you drive to Clooghan. Some of the famous Irish people we have heard about before. We all all have listen to Boyzone before but we did not know they where Irish. We know that your alfabet is different so we will send you ours . We think your Christmas is about the same as ours. We looked up your website and we have played the game Irish bulldog on our own schoolyard. It was fun. We think your flag is lovely. We know that boys both in Sweden and Ireland get dirty when they play soccer.
