Latest Rambling House DVD

The latest Irish Rambling House DVD has just come
out and it is on the theme of emigration.
The Rambling Irish has songs of emigration relating to various parts
of the world.
Kay O’Leary narrates brief intros to the songs.
The idea for this DVD arose a couple of years ago when the Irish Rambling
House became
involved in raising funds for the Cricklewood Homeless concern.
Since then we built up a
lot of video footage on the issue of emigration wherever we went and now
we are delighted
to present it in this new DVD. While the subject may be sad the songs
certainly aren’t and
the scenery from Ireland, Britain and Australia provides a great backdrop
for all the singers.
Among those featured on the DVD are Billy Donegan, Causeway; Billy
O’Brien, Freemount;
John Kinsella, Listowel: Noel Heaslip, Abbeydorney; Peter Bourke with his
own song,
The Galtymore; Seán O’Se, Doris Shire, Andy Guthrie, Eileen and Paddy
Fitzgerald , Melbourne and Edaéin O’Connell from Rahea.

The Fundraising Dance organised by Kay O'Leary and Joe Harrington of
the Irish Rambling
House for the Limerick Association of London took place at the Rathkeale
House Hotel and
was a very enjoyable event. Joe and Kay are patrons of the London
Association.
Music on the night was by the Eddie Lee Band.
