Holes 12 to 18
Hole 1
Distance:339m
Par:4
Index:10
The first tee box in Mahon has a PGA tour championship feel about it. It is surrounded on three sides by flower beds and you are driving up a steep hill. You must get beyond the big tree on your right to give yourself a decent chance of reaching the green in two.

Hole 2
Distance:381m
Par:4
Index:4
This is one of the most spectacular driving holes on the course. With a good drive from an elevated tee box, there is a good opportunity for a par or birdie.

Hole 3
Distance:334m
Par:4
Index:12
Similar to the first, it is a long drive up the hill. Distance hitters will have an advantage on this hole.

Hole 4
Distance:125m
Par:3
Index:14
The fourth in Mahon (the old second) is undoubtably the most famous hole on the course. With its new green right on the waters edge it is now an even tougher proposition.

Hole 5
Distance:333m
Par:4
Index:2
Hole 5 is a unique hole. You need a decent drive to clear the water and an extremely accurate second to get the ball any where near the flag on a green that is almost completely surrounded by trees.

Hole 6
Distance:123m
Par:3
Index:16
The sixth doesn't look too daunting, but with reeds and rushes to the right of the green it can be a bogey hole for some punters.

Hole 7
Distance:435m
Par:5
Index:6
The sevnth at Mahon is a brand new hole. It has a double dog leg, and throughout the hole you are dicing with water hazards either on the left or the right hand side.

Hole 8
Distance:102m
Par:3
Index:18
This is a short part three that shouldn't pose too many problems.

Hole 9
Distance:157m
Par:3
Index:8
This is a beautiful uphill par three which would not look out of place on one of the top courses in America. Its two tiered green adds an extra challenge to even the most precise putters.

Hole 10
Distance:285m
Par:4
Index:15
Another accurate drive here is vital. Anything to the left and the ball is lost, anything to the right and its right down at the bottom of the hill, leaving a very tough second to the green. A new green under construction will give this hole a completely new dimension.

Hole 11
Distance:441m
Par:5
Index:11
Another famous hole in Mahon, this par 5 has got the toughest drive on the course. Attempting to get across the water in one has led to the demise of many a good round and sometimes its just best to play safe. This will leave very long second and third shots to the green. However the sight of the big wide open fairway will be welcomed by many after the tough accurate play required on the first ten holes.

Hole 12
Distance:367m
Par:4
Index:1
This is another brand new hole. A par four, and a driving hole, however against a strong wind coming in off the harbour it can play very long.

Back to map
Hole 13
Distance:332m
Par:4
Index:5
A new green here has made this a very long par 4. A good drive with the wind behind you can make this hole one to pick up shots on, but watch out for the rough on the right!

Hole 14
Distance:286m
Par:4
Index:13
Formerley a par 3, but with a new green behind the 13th tee box, this dog leg is one of the toughest holes on the course.

Hole 15
Distance:231m
Par:4
Index:17
Through the tunnel, and this next par 4 can easily be reached in two. But with yet another new green built right out on the water accuracy is essential.

Hole 16
Distance:320m
Par:4
Index:3
You will feel, teeing off on this next hole, that you are standing in the middle of the harbour. A long drive is a possibility but beware of the ravine running across the fairway 20 metres before the green.

Back to map
Hole 17
Distance:455m
Par:5
Index:7
The new 17th is the old 10th, par 5 in reverse. A good driving hole again but keep down the right for a good approach to the green.
Back to map
Hole 18
Distance:146m
Par:3
Index:9
The 18th is a tough par three to finish off. The distance is difficult to judge with a ten foot hedge running along in front of the green. An extremely difficult green to judge just might ruin your round.
