The Bishop came to the school on the 5th of November. He came with Fr.Mc Guinness. We asked him questions and he said we could have no homework that night. Mrs. Reynolds was not in that day. Miss Murphy was in instead. The Bishop visited the Pope in Rome. The Pope gave all the Bishops a cross. We got to hold the cross. The Bishop's name is Christopher Jones and he lives in St. Mary's in Sligo. Then he and Fr. Mc Guinness went around to visit the sick. He said mass at seven o'clock that night in Aughrim. Some people came back to the Community Centre for tea and sandwiches with the Bishop. Margaret Nevin made a special cake for him. The Bishop Jones went home early because he had the cold.
