The Dolmen at Letterfine is a Stone Age grave. It is said that Fionn Mc Cumhail and Grainne were a couple but Grainne fell in love with another called Diarmuid. Grainne and Diarmuid ran away together. This Dolmen was one of the places they slept while on the run. This is why the Dolmen is called Diarmuid and Grainne's resting bed. Another story about this magical stone tells : A woman would visit the Dolmen every day and each day she would receive money. She believed this was a gift from the fairies. She told someone about this and the money never came again.
