The Old Rectory

The Old Rectory was built in 1805 with help from the local landlord and The Church of Ireland. The last Rector lived in The Old Rectory until 1954. His name was Parson Mac Cormack. He had two daughters who were born in this house. At the back of the house there are stables and a large orchard, which has apple trees, plum trees and pear trees. The next owner was an English army officer who lived there from around 1960 to 1975.When he died his wife and her twin sister lived there until 1982 when they left the house to live in England. In 1984 the Reynolds family moved to The Old Rectory where they now run a successful B&B.
