Judas' Song

My aim is twisted out of true

Warped and worn through loving you

Your face swims closer in the dark

I cannot fail to hit my mark

Oh why must I wear a thousand faces

While you wear only one

I'm falling now I have no choice

I'm screaming but I have no voice

The hands which push me on are yours

And glindly I obey your laws

Oh why do I need a thousand voices

While you need only one

You told me once what I should do

Obeying I'm betraying you

So lovingly you forced my hand

In ways I cannot understand

Oh why must I break a thousand hearts

While you break only one

I am struck by the understanding of the plight of Judas and have been deeply touched by the sadness of the poem.
