Ruth Lehane

Ruth Lehane trained at Ecole Jacques Lecoq, Paris and the Samuel Beckett Centre, Trinity College, Dublin.

Having completed her studies in Paris, she spent a year touring Spain, playing various roles with Bantam Theatre of Barcelona.

Since returning to Dublin, theatre work includes :

    • Dog,

    • Moby Dan,

    • Brilliant Days Blue and Blowfish for Barabbas...the company and

    • Tales from Ovid for Theatreworks.

She has performed at the Abbey Theatre in

    • The Misogynist and

    • The Silver Tassie.

Other credits include

    • the Macnas national tour of Diamonds in the Soil,

    • The Beggars Opera and Home Free, both at Lombard Street Studio.

Ruth has also appeared in a one-woman show,

    • Circus Dances, at The Irish Arts Centre, New York, and as

    • Winnie in Samuel Beckett's Happy Days in Berlin.

Ruth's last appearance at the Galway Arts Festival was with, Les Idiots Volante, in a production of La Surprise du Ciel.
