YOGA

Yoga means wholeness, union. Not only does it help us to remain fit at a physical level, it has a great impact on our mental and emotional well-being. It is a way of life and a spiritual practice. Yoga is a most valuable tool to prevent and ease a wide variety of conditions such as asthma, arthritis, anxiety, depression, back problems and many more. As a small child, we knew instinctively how to breathe but for most of us, our breathing has gradually become restricted. Our breathing pattern is closely related to our posture and is affected by our emotions. Stretching, deep relaxation, movement, stillness, breathing techniques, meditation and guided visualisation will be explored to relax, unwind and connect with the inner-self in safe, nurturing and healing environment.

Marie Angeline has been studying yoga for many years with a variety of teachers and trained in Amherst, Massachusetts as a creative writing workshop leader. Her approach is healing and nurturing as she incorporates within her classes her gifts acquired within the healing field. She has first hand experience of the benefits of yoga in pregnancy and as a tool to access a different level of consciousness. Her classes teach you to live in the moment and to connect with the most sacred part of your being.

HEALING (REIKI)

Reiki is an ancient form of hands-on healing which came to us from the east. A Reiki session usually involves the receiver laying down on a plinth, fully clothed, while the practitioner places his or her hands over the receiver’s body. We usually work essentially with the major chakras (energy centres) to release and root out anything that is preventing you from realising your full potential. The symptoms may be physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual. With Reiki we work with the person as a whole at a very deep level. Most people receiving Reiki experience it as a very deep relaxation. It is a very gentle, non-intrusive method of healing.
Reiki is the name given to describe the energy flowing through the practitioner’s hands to the receiver’s body. The more the receiver can relax and open to the Reiki ray, the more he or she can receive. So the pace of healing is actually dictated by the receiver rather than by the practitioner. This means that whatever the issue, it will be dealt with at the time and pace for which you are ready. Marie Angeline’s special gift is her ability to tune in to the needs of her students and to guide them through a clear healing path. Her nurturing qualities enable the students to feel safe and comfortable enough to open up and to release blockages as and when they are ready.
