McSharry Bros Plant sales Ltd was formed by Cyril and Michael McSharry in the early 1970s selling second-hand agricultural tractors and over the years progressed to being one of the largest suppliers of new hydraulic excavators and spare parts of used excavators.

They became known around Ireland as the main suppliers of excavators and were associated with Hitachi in Japan. They are now official agents of new Hitachi equipment and spare parts of excavators.

They also import other Japanese manufactured used-equipment: Komatsu, caterpillar, Kobelco, Sumitomo and Fiat-Hitachi.

Ronan and Raymond McSharry, Cyril's two sons, both joined the business after finishing school. Ronan works in the Plant and Commercial branch with the Hitachi excavators and Used Spare Parts. While Raymond manages the two Isuzu dealerships.
