Mary Leneghan was born on June
27th 1951, but little did her parents know she was to become one of the future
presidents of Ireland.
When Mary graduated she was
summond to the Northern Ireland Bar, where she worked mostly on criminal and
family law.
1976 was a happy year for Mary
because she married a man named Martin McAleese. Mary and Martin had three
lovely children named Emma, Saramai and Justin.
A triumphant day was enjoyed
by Mary on the 11th of November 1997 when she was sworn into office and became
the 8th president of Ireland.
