amazing carpet was handwoven in Donegal. Bossi made the Neo-classical marble
fireplace.
Fine 18th and
19th century giltwood is decorating this fabulous room. The paintings on the
walls are on loan from The National Art Gallery of Ireland.

are seven main rooms open to the public in the Áras. The rest of it is left
for the President's own use. We only picked our favourite three rooms, so

This is the President's own personal study. Pictures of her family hang on
the walls. The room has a door leading to the President's own private partof
this magnificent house.

Éamon DeValera used to tap his pipe on the armrest of the couch in the State
Drawing Room. If you look closely you can still see the dent.
